At the heart of MAXIMUS Franchise are long-serving industry professionals brought together by their common expertise in fluid power and fluid transfer products.
Scott and Troy Hudson head BAT Industrial, a proud family-owned business with a steadfast track record of 42 years and counting. That’s a long time of building responsiveness to the ebb and flow of the industry and changing customer needs.
Scott was a pioneer of Hydraulink Hose & Fittings in NSW before relinquishing the business to Hydraulink’s NZ-based parent company. Today, Scott devotes his time to the success and growth of BAT as Managing Director.
Troy is BAT’s Director for Operations. He oversees the sales and customer service teams and looks after overseas purchasing.
Wally Davey is the founding partner of PIRTEK, an internationally successful industrial franchise business. He reshaped the hydraulic hoses industry over 40 years ago with the introduction of the mobile service model which is still predominant in the sector.
Scott and Wally were challenged by the lack of real change in the fluid power and fluid transfer industry since the early 1990s. Traditionally the market players were divided into two: specialists catering to industrial customers, and specialists focussed on hydraulic products. Yet the same customers invariably use both. And so do customers of irrigation and water products.
In 2018, ideas, flow charts, and sketches scribbled on notebooks and paper napkins came to life in MAXIMUS, the new-generation industrial consumables brand.
MAXIMUS Trade Centre in Rutherford became the pilot one-stop shop for hydraulic and industrial hoses, valves, pumps, and fittings, as well as irrigation and water products. It was, and remains, an industry first.
MAXIMUS Franchise Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of BAT Engineering Pty Ltd. MAXIMUS is a registered trademark of BAT.
Since 2011, BAT has been distributing MAXIMUS branded fluid power and fluid transfer products and accessories to its customers all over Australia. A comprehensive Brand Style Guide supports the brand to ensure consistent application of the MAXIMUS identity and its intellectual property.
Our local as well as international experience in the art and science of location mapping, site selection and store design is hard to match.
For new franchises, we’ll choose a site that puts you right where the customers are. Your store layout will be planned and fitted with point-of-sale displays, storage racks, hose assembly equipment and customer service counters.
For existing businesses, assistance with shop modifications and merchandising support will be provided.
MAXIMUS franchises are fully backed by BAT’s 20,000-plus product lines. BAT's National Distribution Centre in Sydney stocks fluid power and fluid transfer products sourced from industry-leading manufacturers. Our extensive stock holdings and our franchisees’ direct access to third-party suppliers ensure an available supply of industrial, hydraulic, irrigation, and water products at all times.
